The Old Mill and Pottery House Cafe
Christmas Brunch takeout is offered this year and makes a perfect lazy Christmas morning meal. Choose from one of three types of quiche, with a strawberry salad, cinnamon raisin bread, and country ham biscuits. The meal feeds between 4-6 people and is $59.99.

Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant
Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant once again offers holiday to-go meals for 2020. Order meats, sides, and desserts ala carte to make sure your family gets all their favorites! Check out their entire takeout menu and make your order by December 19. Available for pickup December 21 between 8-10a or 4-6p. They’re also offering Christmas Eve pickup from 8a-10a.
Past Favorites Closed for Christmas 2020
Unlike years past, Johnson Family Restaurants will be closed this year for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Here’s a list of their restaurants:

While all our cabins come with fully equipped kitchens, you’ll definitely want to be prepared for a feast if you’re planning to eat in. While cabin kitchens are fully equipped, these vacation homes are just that – rentals to make you and your family comfortable. If you know there are specialty items you need to make your meal complete, we encourage you to bring them from home for a hassle-free holiday. American Patriot Getaways always supplies a starter pack of paper goods, trash bags, and dish soap, but if you have a large group or plan to do a lot of cooking, it’s never a bad idea to bring your own, too! Some items you might want to bring from home include:
- An electric pressure cooker or slow cooker
- Hand mixer
- Sharp kitchen knives and cutting board
- A set of serving utensils
- Disposable or compostable utensils
- Disposable or compostable plates and cups
- Paper napkins and paper towels
- Extra trash bags
- Extra dish sponges
- Dish washing detergent
- Dishwasher tablets (if your cabin is equipped with a dishwasher)
Our cabins do not come stocked with food, cooking spices, or oils. Make sure you bring all your favorite spice blends, salt & pepper, coffee & filters, Keurig cups (if your cabin is equipped), cooking oils, and condiments to accompany your gourmet meal. We also have a variety of grocery stores in the area in case you’ve forgotten your favorites.
