The Best Late Night Eats in the Smoky Mountains
Hankering for something at 8, 9 or 10 p.m. after a full-day hiking or seeing a show, maybe ziplining or skiing, fishing or kayaking on Little Pigeon River? Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville have several options, even some open late-late like in the big cities.
Gatlinburg Late Night Eats
In Gatlinburg, there are several late-night pizza options, along with late-night evening hangouts for sports, dancing, live music along with great food.
At Puckers Sports Grill, watch your favorite team, play darts, listen to a DJ every night and enjoy good beer and food. Puckers is open every day until 1 a.m. for your choice of 12 different sauces for the jumbo wings, fresh fried pork rinds, six burger options (plus your choice of toppings) including a mushroom swiss burger, Juicy Lucy (cheese inside!) and the Don’t Mess with Texas burger (Cheddar Cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Jalapeños, Pucked Up Slider Sauce, Leaf Lettuce, Sliced Tomato, Red Onion and Pickle). Puckers also offers flatbreads and sandwiches that will satisfy.
“I opened Puckers when I was just 22. My goal was to create a laid-back space where people could enjoy a night out with friends or a casual date over good food and drinks,” says owner Chad Kennedy on the Web site. Kennedy’s Kennedy Concepts owns three other Gatlinburg favorites that are open late: Crawdaddy’s – 1 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays; Loco Burro (rooftop entertainment and views open until.1 a.m. Friday and Saturday); and Johnny Rockets – open until 10 most nights, until 11 Friday and Saturday.
Each of Kenney’s restaurants has its own unique food options, style and entertainment. Get your New Orleans seafood fix at Crawdaddy’s. Johnny Rockets is like an old-fashioned diner with burgers, homemade shakes and the Rocket Chili Dog made with Nathan’s Famous all-beef frank. Loco Burro offers “fresh Mex” foods including tableside-made guacamole, fajitas, burritos, street corn and fresh margaritas.
Smoky Mountain Brewery with Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge locations is open until 1 a.m. The kitchen closes at midnight Fridays and Saturdays and at 11 p.m. the rest of the week.

Visitors can expect and get local handcrafted brews. Also on the Local Brew and Sips menu are a wide variety of whiskeys, scotch and Kentucky bourbons, wines, refreshing lemonades and house-made sangrias too.
SMB’s landmark store in Gatlinburg opened in 1996 – read The story of the brewery’s early days and growth. Smoky Mountain Brewery has four locations in East Tennessee—Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Knoxville (Turkey Creek), and Maryville—and is now part of the Copper Cellar Family of Restaurants.
For more late-night pizza options, there’s Geno’s Pizza – open until midnight; Slice Pizza Bakery – also open until midnight; Big Bear Pizza & Subs is open Friday and Saturday until midnight, the rest of the week until 10 p.m.; Luigi’s Pizza is open until 11 p.m.
Craving barbecue, Calhoun’s is open until 10:30 p.m., offering Tennessee hickory-smoked ribs, pork, southern fried catfish, along with steaks, chops and prime rib. Calhoun’s also offers fresh-ground burgers, wings and pulled-pork nachos.
Sevierville Late Night Eats
Nearby Sevierville has been attracting more and more restaurants and night life.
The Roaming Gnome Pub & Eatery is open until 3 a.m. Known to locals as “The Gnome,” it’s a laidback informal pub that opened in 2007. Its full menu is available until 2 a.m. everyday. The menu offers appetizers including fried pickles, Reuben rolls and beer cheese; sandwiches and burgers (grilled tuna and the GNOMAD* – loaded with fried chicken, ham, bacon, cheese served on a Brioche bun with the works. There are also tacos, full entrees and flatbreads.
The Gnome also is known for its sports offerings – watch your favorite sport with lots of TV’s, three jumbo screens and a TV in every booth.
Thai Palace offers authentic Thai family food until 10 p.m. daily. The restaurant “offers a unique blend of Southeast Asian culture, relaxing atmosphere, and enchanting music. Along with tastes and smells of sweet, sour, herbs, and spices.” Check out the menu with its beautiful photos.
Pigeon Forge Late Night Eats
In Pigeon Forge, fun, funky and delicious are on the menu.
Funky Budha is a sports bar and lounge that also has a dance floor and an open patio. Hookah smoking happens for those over 21 after 9 p.m. The menu includes an array of Asian-American food cooked by its International Chef and is open from 3 P.M. to 3 A.M. The menu is filled with bar snacks including funky wings, chicken lettuce wraps and eggplant fries. Full meals include hot steak curry and crispy orange chicken.
The Casual Pint, open until 10 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; Thursdays until 11 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays until midnight. Here, craft beers flow, along with plenty of foods that pair with those beers: wings, quesadilla, pizza, brats, burgers, sandwiches and flatbreads. There’s a children’s menu and a dessert menu. The sides are worth taking a chance on too – mac and beer cheese, Sidewinders, which are crispy craft beer battered potatoes, which can be topped with delicious foods such as beer cheese and barbecued chicken.
Junction 35 Spirits offers locally made moonshine, rum, gin, vodka and whiskey. The restaurant and bar specializes in cocktails plus entrees including ribs, burgers and mac and cheese. In the winter, Junction 35 is open until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, until 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
Mel’s Classic Diner is open until 10 p.m. Classic 50s and budget friendly, Mel’s offers breakfast all day, along with just about anything you might want from burgers and soups to beef liver and onions and country-fried steak with gravy.
Little Tokyo Hibachi Grill and Sushi Bar is open until 10 p.m. for an exciting fire filled hibachi dinner or fresh sushi and fun.
Mellow Mushroom – a national company founded in 1974 in Atlanta – has two locations in Pigeon Forge – on the Parkway at The Island. Open until 10 p.m., Mellow Mushroom is a family friendly pizza joint with lots of unique pizza combinations along with gluten free and vegan friendly options. The Local Goat is open until 11 p.m. Described by locals as “everyone’s favorite,” this Pigeon Forge restaurant locally sources everything on its menu. Even the ketchup and the breads are homemade.
“You won’t find anything bad on that menu,” said one local business owner who frequents The Local Goat. “You can play menu roulette” and always win.
Great burgers with many options, including a Portobello mushroom burger, a good ol’ southern pimento cheese cheeseburger and a “handheld” called The Elvis – peanut butter, smoked bacon, fried bananas.
The New Orleans barbecue shrimp are buttery, garlicy, paprika crusted shrimp served with garlic bread for sopping up the sauce. Don’t forget about the fried green tomatoes and deep-fried deviled eggs too. Smoke ahi tuna, jumbo chicken wings, hand-cut fries, desserts and a long and unique beer list from neighbor Billy’s Bar.
Iron Boar Saloon is open until 10 p.m. and the area’s best known biker bar and is located across from Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson at Walden’s Landing.
“We know what makes a good biker bar, because like you, we’re bikers too. Everything about the Saloon is designed just for motorcycle enthusiasts like yourself.”
Menu items have fun names: Panhead Jalapeno Peppers, Poker Run Pretzel, Wide Glide Chicken Tenders among them.
Blue Moose Burgers & Wings offers casual American fare until 10 p.m. Juicy angus beef burgers, award winning jumbo chicken wings in 16 different flavors, hotdogs, salads and ice cold beer. Blue Moose’s inviting atmosphere and 20 flat panel televisions, make it the “spot” to catch your favorite teams.
