Delivery Options
With DoorDash and GrubHub operating in the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville area, dining at your favorite Smokies restaurants is easier than you think in some of our mountain cabins. With restaurants being added daily, delivery can be an option! These websites do need a log in, and that’s easy to create, especially when you book one of our Smoky Mountain cabins with high-speed internet access. Unfortunately, some remote cabins may not be able to participate in DoorDash or GrubHub, but it never hurts to check before your stay!
Another great option, if you’re choosing to stay in for your trip, is to utilize Instacart. With many of our guests using Instacart at home already, continue that convenience on your Smokies vacation! Instacart, with account setup and monthly payment, allows you to shop at local grocery stores and pharmacies and get your groceries delivered to you (in many locations). Choose your delivery time or even shop on your way in to town and have them delivered to your porch for when you arrive.
Instacart also offers a grocery pickup option at select grocery stores. For other pickup options, Walmart Grocery offers grocery pickup, as well as area Kroger stores. Check out our blog all about local area grocery stores to find out more information on locations!
The Best Takeout in Gatlinburg
Gatlinburg has so many amazing local restaurants. With every type of food you could crave on a trip, from BBQ to pizza, to sandwiches and more, you can find something for everyone in the family. Here are a few of our favorite takeout spots in Gatlinburg.
Old Dad’s General Store Deli
If you’re looking for a tasty lunch or late lunch, Old Dad’s has you covered. The grill and deli located near the National Park entrance in downtown Gatlinburg has plenty of tasty options. Served hot or cold, on your choice of bread, with tons of delicious cheese options and tasty sides. Try the local favorite fried green tomato BLT or the Country Cuban sandwich. Even better? Old Dad’s serves all their deli meats and cheeses by the pound as well! Find your favorite sandwich combination and order some extra staples for lunches during your stay.
Open from 7a to 5p daily, Old Dad’s also offers grab-n-go, ready-made breakfast sandwiches as well. From a classic plain southern biscuit to a classic tenderloin biscuit, there’s something easy to grab with your morning cup of Joe.

Mama’s Chicken Kitchen
Touted as “chicken good enough to cross the road for”, Mama’s Chicken Kitchen offers online ordering for fast and easy pickup. Located just down the road from the downtown Parkway, on highway 321, the short drive will be easy.
From 2-3 piece chicken meals served with side dishes to ordering buckets of chicken with biscuits and ala’ carte sides, a classic southern meal is easy to access! Have picky eaters? No problem! Mama’s Chicken Kitchen also has a kid’s menu with classic foods like hot dogs and grilled cheese for kiddos who don’t want chicken and picnic side dishes.
Just because you’re ordering takeout doesn’t mean you can’t have dessert! Their famous banana pudding comes in single servings or in a pint the whole family can share.
Bennett’s Pit BBQ
A trip to the Smokies just isn’t complete without some classic barbecue! The local favorite pick for BBQ is without a doubt Bennett’s Pit BBQ. All of their meals are packed in disposable containers and comes complete with their 1985 Original BBQ Sauce. Check out their carryout menu on their website.
Bennett’s not only offers their carryout menu, they also offer their meats by the pound and their sides in three convenient sizes: a pint, quart, or gallon. Order exactly the foods your family likes to eat and allow everyone to built a classic meat-and-three to their liking!
Some of their amazing offerings include whole smoked hickory chickens, St. Louis Style pork ribs, and spicy sausage. Get the Mac n’ cheese as one of your side dishes – you won’t regret it!
Best Italian
If you’re craving some delicious Italian meals while you’re visiting Gatlinburg, you only want the BEST! Best Italian has two locations downtown and has been living up to their name for many ears. From their classic golden garlic knots to creamy pastas to classic homemade cheesecakes, you’ll be glad you ordered a tasty meal from Best Italian.
Their famous signature garlic knots are one of the best kept secrets in town. Go ahead and order a full dozen. The fresh baked knots are served swimming in olive oil and topped with fresh chopped garlic, parmesan & romano, and a fresh blend of herbs. They are great on their own, but even better dipped in a homemade pasta sauce.
The chicken marsala is a classic dish served in a delectable sauce filled with mushrooms, tarragon, and imported marsala wine. Served with a side of spaghetti & three garlic rolls for dipping.
Craving a simple pizza or calzone instead? Best Italian has you covered! Their ENORMOUS calzones are definitely big enough for two people to share and can be customized any way you like.
Best Italian has two locations, one directly on the main Parkway and their original Elks Plaza location. So make sure to choose the right menu and pickup location for your meal!

Smokies Cuban Cafe
Try something different on this trip to Pigeon Forge. Smokies Cuban Cafe is a locally owned and operated restaurant offering what many call the best Cuban food you can find outside of Florida.
Each entree is served with classic white rice and cuban black beans. You get your choice of sweet plantains (maduros), classic fried green plantains (tostones), or boiled yuca. My personal favorite is the ropa vieja – thinly shredded beef served with a tangy tomato sauce with peppers and onions. Add some of their spicy pepper vinegar to your rice and you have a delightful meal.
Of course, no meal is complete without dessert and their flan or empanada de guava con queso are both incredible.
El Ranchero Loco
El Ranchero Loco is a favorite of many American Patriot Getaway staff members and is a frequent lunch request at our Guest Services office! With scratch-made recipes made with authentic ingredients and spices, you won’t be disappointed in your meal here!
Their house specials, arroz con pollo and tamales de ‘mama’ are frequently ordered here. Tamales de ‘Mama’ are homemade tamales covered in cheese sauce. And yes – mom does make them!
With all the classic lunch favorites you find at your favorite Mexican restaurant, you’ll be sure to find something everyone in the family likes when you order from El Ranchero Loco. Bonus: their chips and salsa are amazing so make sure to order extra!
The Old Mill Restaurant
A Pigeon Forge favorite since 1993, The Old Mill Restaurant serves southern family meals to make you feel completely at home – even if you’re dining in your cabin’s fully equipped kitchen! With three separate breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, The Old Mill Restaurant is perfect for dining any time of day.
Their dinner menu offers up some meals you won’t find anywhere else in town. The Southern Fried Beef Liver has tender cuts of beef liver, seasoned perfectly and fried with a pleasant crispy coating. It’s also served with caramelized onions. Your meal will also include their classic corn chowder, a house salad, homemade mashed potatoes, green beans, and a fresh dessert from the bakery. Now that’s a full meal!
When you’re picking up your order, stop in the general store and grab a few of their pantry items. The Old Mill sells their own self-rising cornmeal, biscuit mix, muffin & pie mixes, and more!
