The team at American Patriots were great and incredibly helpful with both our booking experience and a technical error we encountered with a package delivery (early arrival). I would HIGHLY encourage anyone to make their booking through American Patriot and we will be doing so for all future stays in the Smokies! The Soaring Heights Cabin is definitely beautiful, in a fantastic location, and has an amazing view. Watching the gondola go by - especially at night - and seeing the Gatlinburg Parkway lit up for Christmas was a real treat. However, when making future bookings we will choose a different cabin based solely on our personal preferences and expectations. Our purpose of this trip was focused mainly on spending time with family we hadn't seen in two years. Because of this, we spent a lot of time in the cabin which fell short right off the bat with not having a real, working fireplace (as seen in the advertisement pictures). This was disappointing as our little ones were super excited about making s'mores. We even stopped in town and bought firewood / fire starters - which turned out to be money wasted. When I called to get the code for the lockbox I was told there was a problem with the loveseat recliner and someone was supposed to come fix it. They never did. Throughout our stay the recliner was stuck in the reclined position with the footrest extended. A minor inconvenience - yet inconvenient nonetheless. The downstairs bedrooms are incredibly dark - even with the curtains open, and all the lamps on. Especially the BR behind the kitchen. This bedroom had a large closet - but it contained so many extra blankets, linens, boxes, etc.. that we could not even store our suitcases inside (essential to us since we are a family of 5). The closet in the bedroom across the hall was locked for what I assume is owners personal use - so no storage there either. This bedroom also had no dresser to use for storage - which means suitcases had to be stored under the bed and pulled out each morning / evening to retrieve clothes. A huge hassle. Also - none of the bedrooms (downstairs or the one upstairs) has mirrors - which means when someone was using/ getting ready in the restroom - the other members of our party had to wait - as there was no way to do hair and / makeup outside of the bathroom. Mirrors on back of the doors would have been sufficient. The downstairs bathroom bathtub water faucet is also very difficult to control / set. The kitchen, though well stocked with dishes, glasses, cups, etc...took up every single cabinet - which meant there was no room to store food items. We actually moved glasses from one cabinet to another to allow us to use some cabinet space for food storage. The can openers (we found 3) need to be replaced, as none of them worked properly (we could not get any of them to work at all - another purchase we ended up making). The ice maker also did not work - so we had to buy ice. The kitchen is equipped for adults only. There are no kid friendly (plastic) plates or cups. We had to purchase these items as well. For reference, staying in the cabin was our family consisting of 4 adults and 3 children ages 4, 3 and 18 months. While planning our visit for November 2024, I will definitely be contacting American Patriots - but will be more careful in our cabin selection.

The cabin was located in the perfect spot to view the tram from the deck in the jacuzzi The cabin was super cozy and having a pool table outside was great! BUT the BEST part was seeing a momma bear and cubs up close and personal on the deck! That was AMAZING! Thanks so much for the great memories. We will be back

Our family had a great time & loved this cabin. We had lots of fun and made great memories together. We did not see any bears as it was too cold. The view right from the windows or back porch was amazing. Very cozy & homey inside. Can't wait to come back.

Had a great time in your beautiful cabin. A few bumps in the road, but didn't distract from the beauty all around. Had a wonderful, white Christmas. Yes, Snoweverywhere. Beautiful Stay!

Had a good time. Comfortable, relaxed, spacious place. Son & wife came down from Iowa with my grands and my daughter and my grands came from Douglas, GA. Thanks for sharing a little piece of Heaven with us.

What a wonderful relaxing few days in your lovely cabin. We drove into Cades Cove and saw turkeys but no bears. We enjoyed breakfast at the pancake cabin and supper at Benetts and Parkway grill- All fabulous. Enjoyed watching Alabama & OleMiss Game. Go Bama. And Auburn and Texas A & M. War Eagle. The driveway was a little frightening but we managed making it up. Wonderful memories made.

Had a great time with our kids and grandkids. Our last night here our daughter went to go to her car and a bear was coming up the stairs of the deck by the driveway. She ran back in the house and it continued to walk across the deck over by the hot tub and disappeared up the steps. It was awesome getting to see it so up close from inside the house. Loved watching the trains go by with our grandson. Had a wonderful stay and such great memories with family.

Cabin is so nice. Love the view. This cabin was perfect for our favily weekend.Love the cabin and all the decor. We enjuoyed the hot tub and hammock. Getting up to the cabin was a challenge but well worth it. I would love to stay here again and will recommend to anyone that asks where to stay in Gatlinburg. Theview is amazing! We did not see any bears!

No bears but a really great spot! Nice and clean - very peaceful. We enjoyed the deck swing and rockers and hot tub. Worth the drive from Chicago. Very nice cabin and business, Thanks!

We had an amazing stay! First time here in Gatlinburg and we will definately beback. The cabin was perfect and had enough room for all 6 of us. We didn't see any bears! We will be back though!

We had a memorable trip! We were eager to see a bear and managed to view them walking along the porch almost each day. There was one cub that liked to walk across the porch and peer in at us. The cabin was a great size for our family and fur babies. We played many games, caught up on reading and visited Gatlinburgand Pigean Forge. Thank you for the great memories!

We have had a wonderful time! There were three different young bears that visited several times a day! One of them liked to check out the vehicles! Stepped up on back bumper and running board of our jeep to look inside. He also climed on the back bed cover up to roof of Chevy Silverado after he pulled on door handles! Reached down from roof to see if windows were down! Cabin was perfect size for our family. Many memories of games and meals! Family laughter is priceless!

What an amazing cozy cabin! We were here for the 1st snow of the season X2 (Monday & Thursday) & it was awesome. No bears-too cold, but did have a little bird come by daily for treats. The wood fireplace was a life saver when the power when out We are from Florida (PCB) & we were prepared for being stuck inside & plenty of food (Think Hurricane Michael!) We come yearly & this cabin is a winner! We Will be back!

Our first time here and we loved it. We did the Skybridge park, downtown, the Wax Museum, The Mountain Coaster at night in Pigeon Forge with all the lights and we loved it. Perfect for teens. We also went to the island to see the Xmas lights. We also went to the Aquarium. We had plenty of family/relax time in the cabin. We loved the fireplace and the hot tub and the views. The driveway was an experience. lol. We hope to be back in the near future. We made a lot of memories here. Didn't get to see any bears :(

Soaring Heights is an amazing cabin. The view was amazing. We had a wonderful vacation. We loved how easy it was to get to the National Park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The only thing that we would add to the cabin would be a dresser in the double bu nk bedroom and more towel hooks in the downstairs bathroom. Thanks for a great time!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We celebrated our mom's 60th Birthday! We didn't see any bears at the cabin but we spoted a momma bear and her cubs at Roaring Fork Motor Natural; Trail and she wasn't too happy to see us. We also saw a momma bear and her cubs at Cades Cove along with deer. We really enjoyed the breakfast at Crockett's and dinner at the Park Grill. We did so much in sucha short amount of time. We'll definately be back!

Had a great time at the cabin. We had a momma bear with 4 cubs visit 2 days in a row. Lots of traffic & people but the trip was worth it. Been here 4 years in a row and this is the first time staying in a cabin. It's better than the motels!

The visit was great. We love this cabin. We got to see 4 bears and a coyote. The bears were amazing to watch. Also the mountain coaster is a must do. That is so fun. We will be back.

We enjoyed a wonderful vacation celebrating Mother's Day and two birthdays! We saw bears right by the cabin and elk, coyotes, turkeys, a beaver, and a barn owl in the park. We truley enjoyed the cabin and our Tennessee family vacation!

We had a wonderful stay. I loved all the attention to detail like the general store at the kitchen door. My daughter loved the stuffed bears and her room which was the one with the fishing theme. She said she felt like she was outside. My son loved watching the tram go by at night with the lights on it and the Nintendo Wii. The tram going by was also one of my favorite things and the view from the balcony upstairs. We made smores, went to Ober Gatlinburg and snowtubed, shopped and went to Goats on the Roof, which is highly recommended for kids. When you get a baby goat(stuffed animal) they give you a birth certificate. Overall this is a beautiful cabin and we hope to come back. P.S. Go to Mama's Farmhouse

Had a great weekend! Cabin was beautiful just one issue was the Hot Tub all jets would not work. Would recommend this cabin we definitely will visit again soon.

We loved it! Everyone was happy and loved the view. Customer service was timely and friendly. Also the websites a little vague but the kitchen had way more stuff than we thought there was a panini press and waffle maker!

We stayed at Soaring Heights the week of July 4th and had an amazing time! This cabin is perfect! The location to Gatlinburg is fantastic! It's only a few short minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg but you would never know it. It was nice and secluded with wonderful views! It served our family of 6 & our little pup perfectly! Every morning and night we sat out on the deck to enjoy the wonderful views and wildlife. We were even greeted by some bears! There are 3 bedrooms and the kids loved the bunks and the little game area upstairs. It was super cool to see the Ober gondolas passing by! We were even able to spot our cabin on the trip up and down Ober! We would stay here again, and that's saying something as we've stayed somewhere different. This was perfect!

Would've liked to have stayed one more night but was not available at the time rental was made. Overall, very nice stay. Quiet in the cabin but lots to do within a short distance.

The cabin was wonderful! We really enjoyed it!The only thing I would change is adding a strainer to the kitchen. Other than that it was well stocked. We were able to make crockpot hot chocolatier which the crock was supplied and watch the fireworks from o ur cabin for New Years Eve
