American Patriot Getaways has been a pioneer and leader in the Smoky Mountain Vacation Lodging industry since our founding more than 20 years ago, in the spring of 2000.

Dissatisfied with the local management options for his own investment properties, founder Wayne Foster was determined to start a new kind of management company in the Smokies. American Patriot Getaways was born to manage and market vacation rental cabins. As Smoky Mountain vacation planning transitioned from mailers, cabin catalogues, and walk-in reservations into online vacation planning, we were here, leading the way.

The Fosters wanted to create something special, and The Systems Specialists, a software programming and computer hardware sales company, already owned and operated by the Fosters, tackled the challenge. The Systems Specialists Team developed the first true e-commerce website for overnight rentals in the Smokies with a fully integrated property management and accounting system. That vision, and the competitive advantages gained by its innovative systems, helped launch our company into more than two decades of steady growth.
