The Old Mill Restaurant is noted for its southern cooking. Specialties include signature corn chowder, pot roast and gravy, homemade chicken and dumplings, southern fried chicken, and pecan pie. Biscuits made from scratch, homemade banana nut muffins, and stone ground grits are just a few items featuring products ground at the mill next door. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Dollywood
The theme park is closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but before and after, you can join the lights, the music, the fun and the food.
The Front Porch Café
The Front Porch Café is a home base of sorts for new offerings during Smoky Mountain Christmas. “A three-course holiday meal is offered here every day the park is open. Get out of the winter chill and warm up inside this sit-down restaurant with a bowl of Lobster Bisque. With its rich broth and freshly-chopped lobster, this appetizer sets the stage for what’s to come. Follow it up with one of our three seasonal entrees: Creole Roasted Turkey Breast, Pork Loin with Smoked Collards and Roasted Sweet Potatoes or Braised Beef Short Ribs. A tough choice no doubt, but there is no wrong answer really. Be sure to leave room for dessert as this menu features two Christmas-inspired sweets to end the meal. Both the Eggnog Cheesecake and Molten Chocolate Lava Cake are decadent finishes to lunch/dinner.”
If you just want to snack, Dollywood has that covered too. Everything from a Fresh Cranberry Spritzer and Peppermint Milkshake
to Lobster Bisque, Chorizo Flatbread Pizza and Molten Chocolate Lava Cake. Check out all the Dollywood holiday dining options here.
Rather eat in your cabin but not cook? Along with The Old Mill’s takeout options, The Old Mill, a national historic treasure established in 1830, also has a catalog of options for cooking yourself or sharing with friends.
