Car enthusiasts rejoice! There are more car shows coming up in the Great Smoky Mountains. Not only can you view and explore the vehicles, you also can connect with people selling parts for your motorized baby.

Aug. 11-13 Mustang Invasion

Run by the Mustang Club of America, the Annual Smoky Mountain Mustang Invasion is held at Sevierville Quaker Steak and Lube, 1431 Parkway, Sevierville.

Aug. 18, 19 Smoky Mountain Bronco Stampede

New This Year

Brand new this year, the Smoky Mountain Bronco Stampede will make its debut at Le Conte Center in Pigeon Forge.

The event is open to all Bronco enthusiasts and Bronco clubs throughout the nation. It is an Expo for all the leading Bronco parts and accessory vendors, and the smaller vendors who deal in Bronco and off-road-related products.

Show hours are 9 a.m. – 5p.m. each day. Admission is $15 per person, $5 per child aged 6-12, and free for ages 5 and under. Tickets are only available in person. Register your vehicle for Club Row Parking and Show & Shine on the event website.

Aug. 24-26 Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion

Jeep Invasion

The 11th Annual Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Club Invasion is open to all Jeep enthusiasts and Jeep Clubs throughout the nation. The Expo is for leading Jeep parts and their accessory vendors. The LeConte Convention Center is the location and show hours are daily from 9 am-5 pm.

Adult admission is $18 per day, children from 6-12 are $8 per day, and kids under 5 get in free. Cash only at the outside admission tents; both cash and credit accepted inside the admission booths within the LeConte Center. Also, daily admission includes admittance into the inside vendor area, the outside vendor areas, and the Show & Shine event. The GSM Jeep Club does not offer presales on admission tickets.

No outside food or drink allowed within the LeConte Center. Only certified service animals permitted indoors. The LeConte Convention Center is located at 410 Pine Mountain Rd. Pigeon Forge

August 27 Jeeps Invade the Cove

The morning after the 11th Anniversary Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion, the Smoky Mountain Jeep Club will play host to the “JEEPS INVADE THE COVE” to ride the 11-mile Cades Cove Loop. Meet at 10 am. at the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center, 123 Cromwell Dr, Townsend. The ride starts at 11 a.m.

The scenic driving tour through the Cades Cove Loop takes approximately two to four hours depending on traffic. Because it’s a single-lane road, you will stop frequently and that will let drivers enjoy the mountain landscapes, wildflower meadows and diverse wildlife. Halfway through the Loop, drivers can stop at the Visitors Center for the many photo opportunities and restrooms. There is no rush thru the loop and drivers can break away from the convoy any time to stop and picnic or check out the old cabins and churches of the Cove. August 11-13 Sparks Car Show

In its 9th year, the Sparks Car Show is 3 days at the Sevier County Fairgrounds at this family-run open event.

The show is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, there is a limbo contest from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with awards given after. Food vendors will be onsite.

The fairgrounds are at 754 Old Knoxville Hwy, Sevierville, TN

Sept. 14, 15, 16

Pigeon Forge Rod Run

Originating in Gatlinburg in the 1970s as an unofficial event by Shades of the Past car club, the rod run today is held twice a year in Pigeon Forge by promoters MCS Promotions. It has been known as the Pigeon Forge Rod Run since 2014.

The 3-day event is held at The LeConte Center, 2986 Teaster Lane, Pigeon Forge. Admission is $15 per day per person. Three-day passes are $35. Tickets are sold on site and are cash only. Spectator parking is free.

Open to all car enthusiast, the event features a $10,000 cash giveaway, awards for the top 25 and ultimate 5, and a huge swap meet with hundreds of show cars and car corral.

Prizes & Awards

Of the hundreds of cars that enter car shows there are only a handful of ones that are given prizes and awards at the end. Those few that do win something have been deemed the ones with the best-looking cars. How fun!

2024 dates have been set too. Spring is April 18, 19, 20 and Fall will be Sept. 12, 13, 14.

Sept. 9 Smoky Mountain Street Dreams

Sept. 21-23 Okteenerfest

Okteenerfest is an annual gathering celebrating the Porsche 914, a two-seat roadster manufactured from 1969 through 1976.

Owners and enthusiasts of the Porsche 914 can enjoy a drive on some of the area’s mountain roads to kick off the weekend. The car show happens on Saturday followed by an awards banquet.

The car show portion of the gathering is open to the public from 9 a.m.-Noon at The Townsend Abbey, 7765 River Road, Townsend. Read more about lovely Townsend in our blog post.

The Classic Ford

Sept. 21-23  F-100 Super Nationals & All Ford Show

This classic Ford-truck focused show is at the Sevierville Convention Center, 202 Gists Creek Rd. Vendors and specialty vehicles will be inside, which outside parking will be for show vehicles and Swap Meet.

The F-Series has become America’s favorite pickups, with nearly a million sold per year. From 1948 till 1983, the last year the F-100 was produced, it served as the pickup for people who wanted a true workhorse. These classic trucks lasted for seven generations and saw substantial changes. And you’ll see them at all at this show.

Vehicle registration is $40 prior to Aug. 14 and $50 starting Aug. 15. Spectator admission is $10 per day with children 12 and under getting in free.
