When wedding bells are in the air and romance is what you crave, a Smoky Mountain Honeymoon is the perfect way to start your new life together!
Are you getting married this year, or celebrating the day you did? For romance, adventure, good food and beautiful surroundings, plan it all in the Smoky Mountains.
Whether you are having a Valentine’s month celebration, a summer wedding or you want to renew your vows, we have many ideas for celebrating in The Smokies.
Married On The Titanic
The Titanic Museum has been honoring couples every year for more than a decade with its February “Sweetheart Month” celebrations and special events including its one-of-a-kind Valentine vow renewals. It can also serve as a fun stop on your Smoky Mountain honeymoon.
All February, Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge is “doing its part to unite and reunite couples in the name of love.” Pop the question, say your “I do’s” or renew your wedding vows in one of the most romantic places anywhere…at the top of Titanic’s Grand Staircase.
Official ceremonies will be conducted by the ship’s Captain, how cool is that?!
Mary Kellogg, Titanic Museum Attraction’s President/COO and Co-Owner said: “Like the song says, ‘What the World Needs Now is Love, Sweet Love,’ and that’s what our guests will find plenty of during February Love Month on Titanic. This is especially true for couples renewing their wedding vows in the most glorious and romantic of all places, the spot where the epic movie’s Rose and Jack embraced and fell in love…the top of Titanic’s Grand Staircase. Believe me, you’ll feel on top of the world just as they did, standing on the world’s only exact recreation of the Titanic’s Grand Staircase while reaffirming your love.”
The Titanic, a White Star Liner ship, set sail from Southampton, England and was headed to New York City when it hit an iceberg about 370 miles southeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia. There were 24 honeymooners on the ship. If you want to know more about them, the Titanic, and the Titanic Museum, then check out our blog post.
